A brass plate from which a lamella has been cut away.The instrument is held with one hand and is placed between the lips. With the other hand the player plucks the lamella and produces vibrations. By varying his breathing and the shape of the oral cavity the player can amplify and resonate certain overtones and thus produce a melody. Played for the performer's own enjoyment.
