In the Master’s Program, the Graduate School of Film and New Media aims to foster theoretical knowledge of film and cultivate artists, educators, and researchers with the abilities required to engage in independent research and creative work.

The Graduate School of Film and New Media’s Doctoral Program in the Department of Film and New Media Studies emphasizes the pursuit of insight and experience through creativity in the field of visual media. This pursuit, together with the aim of constructing a new body of practical knowledge, provides the foundation for the next generation of knowledge-bearers from the perspective of media-based craftsmanship.
The Doctoral Program in the Department of Film and New Media Studies consists of: Required courses to be taken in years 1 and 2 (Special Lectures on Visual Media, Special Research on Visual Media I & II, and Special Seminars on Visual Media I & II) and individual research guidance.
