On May 15th, a social gathering for international students was held in the University Hall. The event was attended by approximately 120 people, including 70 international students, representatives of the international student support group, members of the local community, and the staff and faculty of ?Tokyo University of the Arts.
This was the 41st social gathering of its kind held by the university. The gathering is held with the aim of?deepening mutual understanding through informal discussions.
During his opening address, President Miyata expressed his gratitude to those providing support to the international students at the university and offered words of encouragement to the international students themselves. The gathering began with the new students’ introduction, followed by a program featuring aspects of traditional culture, such as an ethnic musical performance by international students.
The event was brought to a close with a chorus of the classic Japanese song “Furusato,” as international students, faculty members, and representatives of the support group came together to socialize. and to have a wonderful time.
